However, if you are new to the internet, it’s really hard to know what you need. It’s also really hard to figure out who are the good guys and who are the sharks.

I could write pages about what I have learned the hard way about webhosting.

- Then I signed on to a webhosting service where they provided the domain name and I didn’t even own my own domain name or control my own website.
- By then I got a little smarter, but not much, and got a hosting service that was wildly overpriced.
- Then I got webhosting with a company that had no service available. If my website was down, I was on my own.
- Somewhere along the line, I bought webhosting with a company that had its own very complicated set of tools. I didn’t keep my website with that company for long, because it was simply too difficult to maintain.
